Hi,
I’m Zoromeya. I was in charge of all the art for the boardgame [Houses of Knowledge]. Which is designed by Thibaut Devigne and currently on Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/864743234/houses-of-knowledge).
You can check about this fun game on Kickstarter page, but I’ll talk about my art process of it on this blog. It will be 3 chapters in total .
I am a 2D/3D Artist and I work for TV, ads and Films. In the past I worked on online & mobile games for 10 years.
I am not a gamer at all both digital/analog, but occasionally I had ‘Casual boardgame party’ with my colleagues.
And I really liked the ‘reality & physicality’ of boardgames more than ‘game’ itself. The feeling was similar to when I was attached to old vinyl records jackets more than/equally to its music .
I felt that when the music matches with the jacket and the situation/party/people there, it creates a ‘moment’. And I felt same on boardgames.
That I really liked.
So I developed my secret passion for making boardgame (boardgame art).
Luckily there were two guys (Thibaut Devigne & Martin Raue) started making some prototype of their boardgames. (A Fistful of Seeds & Pirate Brawl! )
I joined to do art for them, and I enjoyed it a lot.
Both games were fun to play but because of our life situation changes, we had to be on hold with them.
And then in 2019, my husband Thibaut got an assignment from university to make a boardgame and asked me to do the Art. That was the beginning of [Houses of Knowledge] !
.....Yes, I was really excited!!!!
